You can use an existing data file as a reference file. The file can contain a maximum of 5,000 records; additional records will be ignored.
To use an existing reference file

In the References section of the MRA window, click Load. The Database Loader window opens.

Select the file type: XML, Quality Fixed File, or Delimited File.

Enter the information required for your file type. The information varies for each file type, as shown in Figure: Figure 1.
Note the following:

XML files must use a unique tag to identify records.

Quality Fixed Files are files produced as a result of running a TS Quality process. For Quality fixed files, the schema of the .dat and .ddl files must match.

For delimited files, select the Has Header option if your reference file includes field names. If your file does not use field names leave the option unchecked and the MRA will automatically assign a numeric value (0, 1, 2, etc.) to identify each field.

If your delimited data file does not specify a quote character you can leave the Quote field blank.

- With the required information entered, click Load Master. The data in the
reference file displays in the Master Data pane, as shown in the figure
below.
The names of the fields that the MRA will use to test matching rules are displayed in the bottom pane. Expand the window or hover over a name to display the entire Matcher User Field name.

- If the schema of your reference file does not match the Matcher User Fields, select
With Map. The field names pane becomes active. Use the pull-down menus to
map the fields in your reference file to the fields used by the MRA, as shown in the
figure below. If your reference file does not contain a header record, you can map
the numbers automatically assigned by the MRA. Figure 3. Creating a Map
If your reference file does not contain a field that can be mapped to a matching field (for example, a secondary number field), leave that field unmapped.
Once you have mapped the fields, you can save the map in a map file to be reused in a future session. Use the icons on this window to create and reload map files.

Click OK. The reference data is displayed in the MRA window. You can now specify a window key or filter to create a candidate group, as described in Creating a Match Candidate Group, or, if set up is complete, perform a match to test your match rules, as described in Performing a Match.
