If your project is configured with a Reference Matcher process, you can test your reference matching rules using the Reference Matching window of the MRA, illustrated in the figure below.

To use the MRA to test reference matching

  1. Select the Matching tab in the PRA.

  2. Select the Reference Matching option on the top line of the MRA window.

  3. (Optional) Select a country from the Country list. Since different matching rules are used for different countries, the MRA allows you to specify which country’s rules you would like to test. The country found in the matcher settings file (DIRMatcher.xml) is selected by default.

  4. Enter test data, as described in Entering Test Data.

  5. Open or create a reference file, as described in Loading Reference Data.

  6. Enter or define a window key, if one is being used, as described in Creating a Match Candidate Group.

  7. Review the match(es), as described in Performing a Match.
