The country-specific Transformer Data Reconstruction process provides transformation of the country-specific data prior to the data being returned to SAP. For example, while TSS provides the output by individual address elements, SAP requires some fields to be a combination of more than one element. For example, the SAP Street field requires a combination of street name and type, which means there is a need for a field reconstruction.
The figure below shows a sample field reconstruction for SAP.
In the above figure, the prefixed DR fields are user-defined fields for the address line transformation. These fields are derived from US Postal Matcher and US Customer Data Parser fields, set in a CONDITIONAL routine.
Other post-transformations include the recoding of full county name into an SAP Region code and the casing of the field values. For example, transform “CAMBRIDGE” to “CA,” “SAN FRANCISCO” to “San Francisco” and insert a hyphen between the fifth and sixth digits of the 9-digit U.S. ZIP code.
