The Data Cleansing Case function lets you review selected duplicate records so that you can merge the data into a single record and delete all obsolete records. This section describes how to create a data cleansing case number using the fuzzy/rough search functionality. For more information about using the Data Cleansing Case function, see your SAP documentation.
To create a data cleansing case number
In the Fuzzy/Rough Search screen, enter a name and/or the address data, and then click .

Click the Create Cleansing Case button to create a data cleansingcase number.
When the Create Cleansing Case Note screen displays, enter a meaningful description of the task (for auditing purposes) in the Note field, the ID of the user authorized to perform the task in the User field, and a priority code in the Priority field.

Click to continue. A cleansing case number is created and displayed in a pop-up screen.

The cleansing case for the selected records is now ready for further processing using transaction bupa_clear. See the SAP documentation for details on Data Cleansing Case via transaction bupa_clear.
