Before you use SAP with Trillium Quality, you need to index your existing records to enable accurate duplicate check and fuzzy search results. These search indexes, called window keys, are critical to the process of matching address records.

The window keys are created by the Trillium Quality Window Key Generator process, and comprise name and/or address elements that are based on user-defined rules.

Note: For more information about the Window Key Generator process, see the Trillium online help.

Within an SAP client, search indexes for address data are grouped by index pools. The grouping is done according to the technical implementation and business integration of different master data areas within the SAP system. They are used in the Search Help and, when implemented with the TS Connector, used to determine which addresses are passed to the TS Connector for additional match consideration.

In addition to indexing, you can also perform duplicate checking on existing records via the Window Batch Matching feature. This feature checks existing records with the same index keys for possible duplication.

This chapter describes the procedures for:

  • Initializing index pools

  • Using the SAP Quarterly Adjustment Process

  • Index queue processing

  • Batch duplicate checking
