Trillium for SAP works with match patterns and grades to determine the matching relationship between the entered data (Transaction) and potential records (Candidates) in the Duplicate Check process. SAP uses probabilities. These two types of relationship indicators are mapped to each other in the Assign Probabilities to Match Patterns activity and are available to view when a list of duplicates is presented.
Trillium for SAP provides a set of best-practice match patterns against probabilities with the Add-On as a starting point (Figure: Trillium Match Pattern to Match Probability Overview Table). You can modifiy the patterns to suit your business requirements. The relationship between the two indicators is based on he concept of “the higher the probability, the lower the match pattern ID.” The table given below describes the parameters for this activity.
