After you have identified host machines, you must specify the directories used for project files on each host.

Note: The Browse button used in the following steps opens the Remote Computer Browser, which allows access to remote systems without requiring mapping. The browser uses Windows shares or Linux SSH technology to allow remote browsing.

To set up directories

  1. Select a host in the top pane of the Project Deployment Manager window. (Note that you select the host by clicking on the host’s name, not by clicking the Mark checkbox.) The host name displays in the bottom pane of the window. The fields in the bottom pane reflect the settings for the selected host only.
  2. In the Target Project Directory field, enter the name of an existing directory on the selected host to receive a copy of the deployed project, or click Browse to select the directory, and click Open. When the project is deployed, a new directory, identified with the project name, will be created under this parent directory.
    Note: If you select a Linux host and attempt to browse to a directory but you have not yet set up security access, an error message displays. Click the Set Up Hosts and Security button and set up access. If you select a Windows host and attempt to browse to a directory but your User ID does not have write access to the share being accessed, an error message displays. Your current User ID must be in the administrator group of the remote Windows machine.
  3. In the Software (bin) Directory field, enter or browse to the directory on the selected host where TS Quality is located (for example,\Software\bin) . For example, on Windows hosts the location might be C:\Program Files\Trillium Software\MBSW\17\tsq\Software\bin. On a Linux host, the location might be workarea/tsq/Software/bin
  4. In the Default Server Tables Base Directory field, enter or browse to the location of the your data tables. If you click Browse, a Remote Postal Directory window opens. Your local machine name is displayed by default. If your tables are located on your local machine, click OK. If your tables are located on a remote machine, select the machine from the Hosts list and click OK. If the machine is not listed, click Cancel and set up the remote host.
  5. On the selected host, select the parent directory for the Global Address Verification (postal) tables, for example, C:\Program Files\Trillium Software\MBSW\17\tsq\tables or /workpack01/tsq/tables and click Open.
  6. Since GAV tables can be very large, they are often placed on a separate disk or a different machine. If your GAV tables are installed in a location other than your default tables directory, in the Postal Tables Base Directory field enter or browse to the parent directory in which the tables are located. If you enter a path to a remote host, you must enter a UNC (Unified Naming Convention) path. If you browse to the host, select the host from the Remote Postal Directory window. If the host is not listed, click Cancel and set up the remote host.

    Once the directories are specified you are ready to edit and generate the project.
