The initial Transformer process transforms the country code from SAP-specific format into values required by the Data Router and Customer Data Parser. It also transforms P.O. box numbers into the full P.O. box description with number (e.g., P.O. Box 1) for the parsing requirements.
You can also use the initial Transformer process to redefine the parser input address lines (which are originally defined during project creation). A standard way to define parser input address lines is:
