Trillium’s Master Data Tools (MDT) enables two additional TS Connector functionalities within SAP. It can be located via transaction /n/trillium/mdt (see Figure: Figure 1):

  • Master Data Inquiry (MDI)

Master Data Inquiry (MDI) allows you to perform address validation and duplicate checking on various data sources, such as any SAP database table (e.g., z-table) or any ASCII file (e.g., cvs, txt file) stored on an SAP Web Application Server or on your local PC. The source data can be compared against SAP Customer, Vendor, or Business Partner data sets.

From the Master Data Tools Master Data Inquiry group, you can select:

Batch Window Matching allows you to perform duplicate checking for the existing addresses in an SAP database. This is an enhanced functionality of the basic Batch Window Matching described in Batch Duplicate Checking (Window Batch Matching) which includes the Data Cleansing Case function.

You can create cleansing cases automatically or manually. When using a cleansing case, note the following:

  • A minimum of two partners are required for cleansing case creation.

  • When using the Automatic option, partners from the same window key/Level 1 Matched (based on the probability selected) will be part of the same cleansing case.

  • Each business partner can be part of only one cleansing case.

  • If a cleansing case is created or updated for a partner, that partner will be skipped during cleansing case automation on the next execution of the program.

  • When using the Automatic option, if Create is selected a new cleansing case will be created. If Update is selected, the partners will be added to the suitable cleansing case (based on having the same window key/Level 1 Matched), which is new or in process state. If no cleansing case is available, a new one will be created. If more than one cleansing case is available, the first one will be chosen.

From the Master Data Tools window’s Batch Window Matching group, you can select:
