The Parser definition tables contain definitions and word/phrase pattern information. These files are used by the Parser to identify the components of the input data. There are two types of Parser definition tables:

  • Standard Definition Tables. (CDP only) These read-only tables include all standard definitions for titles, first names, business names, street components, patterns and masks for other name and address components. Standard, country-specific tables are supplied with the program and stored in the repository server (C:/Program Files/Trillium Software/MBSW/tsq/tables/parser_rules). File names for standard definition tables use the convention xxCDPRUL.win/unx, where xx is the 2-character country code.
Note: If the standard definition table is updated from a previous version of TSS, the differences between the old and new versions are documented in a new file called difftbl, located on the repository server (C:/Program Files/Trillium Software/MBSW/tsq/tables/parser_rules/difftbl). Use the file name to identify the versions compared. For example, AE-difftsq15.0.0-to-tsq14r0.txt contains differences between v14.0 and v15.0, AE-difftsq15.0.0_15.1.0.txt contains differences between v15.0 and v15.1.
  • Customized Definition Tables. These tables contain user-defined definitions. The BDP uses only customized definitions; if you are using the BDP, create definitions in the BDP Word Definitions tool, import the word definition table from the Discovery Library, or create definitions directly in the Customized Definitions table. For the CDP, use of the customizing definition tables is optional. Customized definition tables are stored in the repository under the project folder ( C:/ProgramData/Trillium Software/Data/metabase/<repository_name>/<project_name>/tables). File names for customized definition tables use the following conventions, where xx is the 2-character country code:
    • CDP: xxUSERCDP.win/unx
    • BDP: xxUSERBDP.win/unx
