An Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD) is a visual representation of data objects and their logical structure as entities and relationships. It is used by Baseline Analysis to help you visualize permanent joins within an entity. By default, the details of compound joins are hidden on startup. You can change this default setting so that the details are automatically displayed on system startup.

To change the ERD settings

  1. On the Advanced tab, click Options. The Options window opens.
  2. In the left pane, click E-R Diagram.
  3. If you want compound joins expanded in ERDs, check Expand Compound Joins on Startup.
  4. Click OK, then click Apply.

This change takes effect immediately, and remains in effect until you change it again.
