You can export data rows of findings (notes, bookmarks, and event logs) displayed in a List View to the Trillium client (local) or server system for storage, backup, or distribution across your organization.

Guidelines:
  • All files exported to the server system are saved in the repository server export directory.
  • Save exported files in the following formats:
    • Comma-separated Values (.CSV)
    • Tab Delimited (txt)
    • TS Quality with DDL (*)
    • TS Quality with DDX (*)
    • XML (.xml)
    • HTML (.html). Available only when exporting to the client system.
    • Export one or more selected rows or all rows in a List View, as follows: 
  • If you export using the HTML format, you can customize the headers and footers in this file to meet company requirements.

Export findings to the client

To export findings to the client

  1. In the Navigation View, click the Discover bar, then the Findings tab.
  2. Double-click one of the following Findings folders: 
    • Notes
    • Private bookmarks
    • Public bookmarks
    • Event log

    The List View displays. If no List View opens, then there are no findings contained in the folder. Customize the List View organization if necessary. For more information, see Ways to Organize List View Information.

  3. Right-click one or more rows.
  4. Select Export > All rows or Selected Rows.

    The Save As window opens.

  5. Select the Save In location.
  6. In File name, enter the name for the export file.
  7. In Save as type:, select the type of file format you want for the export file.
  8. In the Save withEncoding drop-down list, select the encoding format.
  9. Click Save.

Export findings to the server

To export findings to the server

  1. Complete Steps 1-3 above.
  2. Select Export to Server>All rows or Selected Rows. The Export To Server window opens.
  3. In the File name field, after /export/, enter the name of the file. The file will be exported to the export directory on the repository server (for example, /MBSW/version/Data/export/noteA). You cannot change this directory but you can create a new directory under it before exporting the file.
  4. In Save as type:, select the type of file format you want for the export file.
  5. From the Encoding drop-down list, select the encoding format.
  6. Click Save.
