View notes for a specific repository object

To view notes for a specific repository object

  1. In the Navigation View, right-click an object that has a pencil icon ().
  2. Select Notes > Drill down to Notes or Tools > Notes > Drill down to Notes.

    The Notes List View opens, displaying all notes created for the selected object.

  3. To open a note, double-click the note you want to view.

    The note opens in read-only mode.

To view notes for a specific object and its associated objects

  1. In the Navigation View, right-click an object.
  2. Select Notes > Drill down to All Notes or Tools > Notes > Drill down to All Notes. (This option is not available for attributes.)

    The Notes List View opens, displaying all notes for selected and associated objects. If the object you selected has no notes, the List View will show notes of the associated objects.

  3. To open the note, double-click the note you want to view.

    The note opens in read-only mode.

View notes by class and subclass

To view notes by class and subclass

  1. In the Navigation View, click the Discover bar, click the Findings tab.
  2. Expand Notes.

    All available notes display in the Navigation View, organized in folders and subfolders that represent note classes and subclasses.

  3. Expand class folders as needed to see all available classes and subclasses.
  4. Right-click the class or subclass in which you are interested, and select Drill down to....

    A List View of all notes with that class or subclass opens.

  5. To open the note, double-click the note you want to view.

    The note opens in read-only mode.

  2. Double-click Notes.
