Use the following procedure to edit the output of a join. You can, for example, edit the output entity name or select the columns for output entity. By default, all columns are selected for the output join. The selection of columns capability is useful when you want to hide columns that are not needed for join analysis. This makes the join creation process more streamlined by reducing redundant data.

To modify join output

  1. In the Add Join: Output Entities page of the Create Join Project wizard, select an output entity and click Modify.

The Edit Output Entity window opens. By default, all columns are selected for the output join.

  2. In the Entity Name text box, modify the name for the output entity if needed.
  3. Use the Show and Hide buttons to select and hide attributes that you do not want included in the output join. By default all available attributes are listed.
  4. In case an attribute name is long and getting cropped by the Edit Output window, you can stretch the window and resize it so that all the names are fully visible.
  5. Click OK to save your changes and close the Edit Output Entity page.
