Use this procedure when you want to copy entity metadata (including business rules) from multiple entities in an existing Baseline Analysis project to a new Baseline Analysis project.

To copy metadata to a new project

  1. From the Navigation View, right-click the Baseline Analysis project that has the desired entities.
  2. Select Copy project and entities. Use the following table to decide which option to select:

    Choose...

    To Copy...

Joins between entities in the project

Only permanent joins on entities contained in the project.

    All joins

    All permanent joins.

    No joins

    No joins.

  3. Click Yes when asked if you are sure you want to run this job.
  4. On the Home tab click the Refresh icon.

A new project is created and named Copy of original project. The entity icons within the projectindicate that these entities do not contain data, only metadata. These new, dynamic entities are also found on the Entities tab.

  5. Add data to the empty entities.
