After you have added business rules to the Rule Groups folders and sub-folders, you can analyze all associated rules for the folder (and sub-folder) and also drill down to see the rule results.

Analyzing Associated Rules in a Folder

You can analyze and re-analyze all associated rules in a Rule Groups folder.

To analyze all associated rules in a rule groups folder

  1. In the Business Rules navigation view, expand the Rule Groupsfolder.
  2. Select the folder which has the rules you want to analyze or re-analyze.
  3. Right-click and from the drop-down list, select Re-Analyze All Associated Rules. The scheduler notification bar opens.
  4. (Optional) Change the job name.
  5. Do one of the following:
    • To schedule the job to run immediately, click Now. The message closes and the job begins running in the background.
    • Click Later. The Set Date & Time scheduler window opens. To immediately run the job in the background, click Run Now. To schedule a time, select a starting date on the calendar and select a time you want the job to run on the selected date. Click Submit to save the scheduled time.
    • Click Cancel to cancel the task.

When the job runs, all business rules in the folder are analyzed.

Analyzing Associated Rules in a Sub-Folder

You can also analyze and re-analyze all associated rules in the sub-folder(s) of a Rule Groups folder.

To analyze all associated rules in a rule groups folder

  1. In the Business Rules navigation view, expand the Rule Groupsfolder.
  2. Select the folder which has the sub-folders whose rules you want to analyze or re-analyze.
  3. Right-click and from the drop-down list, select Re-Analyze All Associated Sub-Folder Rules. The scheduler notification bar opens.
  4. (Optional) Change the job name.
  5. Schedule the job to run now or later. Or click Cancel to cancel the task.

When the job runs, all business rules in the folder and sub-folders are analyzed.

Analyzing Selected Rules in a Folder or Sub-Folder

You can analyze and re-analyze a few specific rules in a folder or sub-folder instead of all associated rules.

To analyze selected rules in a rule groups folder or sub-folder

  1. In the Business Rules navigation view, expand the Rule Groupsfolder.
  2. Select the folder or sub-folder which has the rule or rules you want to analyze or re-analyze.
  3. Right-click the rule or rules and from the drop-down list select Re-Analyze Selected Rules. The scheduler notification bar opens.
  4. (Optional) Change the job name.
  5. Schedule the job to run now or later. Or click Cancel to cancel the task.

When the job runs, the selected business rules are analyzed.
