  • Masks
  • Metaphones
  • Pattern
  • Soundex

The rule populates using the IN operator. You can use the default syntax or customize the expression for your business needs. The rule is saved and can be modified at any time like any other ABR.

For example, you can highlight a series of masks that occur with the highest frequency or have the highest value counts and add them to your expression to verify which attribute values are found in the masks.

  1. In an attribute metadata List View, drill down to the metadata you want to use in the rule. For example, Masks or Soundexes.
  2. Highlight the rows you want reflected in the rule.
  3. Right-click and select Create Business Rule using selected values/masks/...,

The Business Rule -- Add Rule windows opens with an expression displayed in the expression field.

  4. Create the rule, making modifications if necessary, then click Finish.
  5. Open a List View of ABRs for the attribute to see the new rule displayed.
