The Transformer lets you transform the original value to another value within an attribute for your input data or output data. This transformation occurs on an "every occurrence basis" for the specified attribute unless there is a condition. Input actions are performed on the input rows prior to copying of data to output. Output actions are performed on the output rows after copying of data to output.
To transform attributes

From the Navigation or Project View, right-click the Transformer process and select Edit Process. You can also double-click the process to open it for editing.

Select the Input Conditionals tab for transforming the input data. Select the Output Conditionals tab for transforming the output data.

Select Input from the input entity list if you are applying the transformation rule to the input data and you have multiple inputs. This option is not available if you are applying the rule to the output data.

Right-click within the Transformation Rules pane (right-hand side) and select Add > New > Attribute Transformation. The Set Attribute window opens.

Enter a brief Description for this transformation rule.

Set attribute name. This is the attribute to which the transformation rule is applied.
Note: Attribute names that contain parenthesis are not supported.

Click the Build expression... button (). The Expression Builder opens. Set attributes using the Expression Builder. You can also enter the expression directly into the to expression window.

Click Finish.
