This process is only valid in projects that use the Basic Countries (zz) template. It precedes the Sort for Postal Matcher, and its purpose is to populate the input attributes the Global Postal Matcher will use to parse, standardize, and validate the addresses. The output conditionals for this Transformer process are handled in the same way as the output conditionals for the two other special Transformer processes. The conditional logic is displayed in its raw state because it is not supported by the Control Center's expression builder.

Note: This process is not used in SAP projects.

To modify the default rules

  1. From the Navigation or Project View, right-click the Transformer Pre Postal Matcher process and select Edit Process. You can also double-click the process to open it for editing.
  2. Select the Output Conditionals tab. The default conditionals settings are displayed in the Output Conditionals section window. You can modify or specify the following settings from this window:

This process has two subroutines that control which address lines are used by the Global Postal Matcher. Subroutine 1 defines input lines 2 through 9 as the address; this is the preferred routine if your data has only one name line. Subroutine 2 specifies the address lines identified by the Customer Data Parser; this is the default. To change the default subroutine from 2 to 1, open the Transformer Pre Postal Matcher process for editing, and select Output Conditionals. Scroll through the Output Conditionals text box and locate the RUN SUBROUTINE(2) line. Replace the 2 with a 1 and click Finish.
