After you create transformation rules, you can delete, disable, or arrange them in the desired execution order. The rules are processed from top to bottom in the order shown in the list.

When you delete transformation rules, they are not removed entirely from the Transformer process or the Library of Stored Transformation Rules. Deleting will simply remove the rule from the condition associated with it so that the rule will not be executed. A "deleted" rule still exists as a stored rule in the process and can be reused by the Add > Existing option. If you want to remove rules completely from the process (and the Library of Stored Transformation Rules), you must use the Remove Unused Operations option.

Note: If an input entity is removed from Transformer, then any associated transformation rules will also be removed.

Move transformation rules

To move transformation rules

  1. From the Navigation or Project View, right-click the Transformer process and select Edit Process. You can also double-click the process to open it for editing.
  2. Select the Input Conditionals tab for the input data transformation. Select the Output Conditionals tab for the output data transformation.
  3. Click the rule that you want to move in the Transformation Rules pane (right-hand side).
  4. Right-click and select Move Up or Move Down. The order of the operation will be changed accordingly. You can also select Move to Top or Move to Bottom.
  5. Click Finish. The rules will be processed from top to bottom in the new order shown in the list.

Delete or disable transformation rules

To delete or disable transformation rules

Deleting will remove the rule from the condition associated with it so that the rule will not be executed. You can use this procedure to disable unwanted rules.
