You can generate sequence numbers and source ID by specifying the Output Settings of the Transformer. Sequence numbers are record sequence numbers that are automatically generated. Assignment of the sequence number takes place after the Row Filter setting is executed. Source ID is the number of the input entity such as "IN1".

The first Transformer process in a project generates sequence numbers and source ID by default. You can disable source ID and sequence number generation from the Output Settings tab in the first Transformer. For second and subsequent Transformers, source ID and sequence numbers are optional.

Note: The sequence number attribute is used in the default Relationship Linker rules. Disabling the sequence number option in the first Transformer could require changes to your Relationship Linker match rules.

To generate source ID and sequence numbers

  1. From the Navigation or Project View, right-click the Transformer process and select Edit Process. You can also double-click the process to open it for editing.
  2. Click the Output Settings tab.
  3. To generate sequence numbers, check Generate sequence numbers.
  4. To generate source ID, check Generate source ID.
  5. Click Finish.
