The Set Selection utility uses match keys to determine what records to process. A match key is an attribute name. Set Selection is designed to use the output from the Relationship Linker as input. In general, you use the Relationship Linker match key attributes as the Set Selection match keys: for example, LEV1_MATCHED (the household match key) or LEV2_MATCHED_IN_LEV1_MATCHED (the individual match key).

The default match key for Set Selection is LEV1_MATCHED. You can also define up to five match keys for each Set Selection process.

Note: You can further refine the Set Selection process by applying conditions to one or more match keys.

To define the match keys

  1. From the Navigation or Project View, right-click the Set Selection process and select Edit Process.
  2. Select Match Key from the menu.
  3. Select an attribute from the list box in the Match Key 1 field.
  4. Repeat Step 3 for each match key you want to use.
  5. Click Finish.
