A name and address project is country-specific and you need to select at least one country for the project. A country flow consists of a series of pre-defined Quality processes and country-specific rules. For example, if you select United States (US) to create a US country flow, all records in the input entity will be processed using the US Postal Matcher and other US rules. If you select United Stated (US) and United Kingdom (GB) and create a two-country flow, the input records will be routed by the Global Data Router to the US and GB flows , and then processed separately according to the US and GB rules. The list of available countries varies depending on the licenses purchased.

Guidelines

  • If you select more than one country, the Global Data Router process will be automatically selected.
  • Countries associated with Basic Countries template will not be available for processing through the zz country flow under the following conditions: If you select the Display all countries check box and also choose to use all available countries for processing, countries associated with basic countries processing will not be available for selection in the Basic Countries edit window. You must click back to the Create Quality Projects - Countries window and remove Basic Countries (zz) from the Selected Countries list to proceed.

To select country flows

  1. Select a country to add in the Available Countries pane and click >.
  2. If you have purchased basic country support and want to display those countries in the Available Countries list, select the Display all countries check box. This option enables you to add a basic country to your project for the Global Data Router processing without creating a flow for that country. The Global Data Router creates an output entity that contains the records for that country but does no further processing. This differs from the Include basic country processing option which creates a single flow and output for all of the basic countries you select.
  3. Select the Add Global Data Router process check box if you want to create a "no-match" flow in your project. The Global Data Router sends records that do not match the country you selected to the no-match flow.
  4. If you have purchased basic country support, the Include basic country processing option is displayed. Select this option if your data contains records from one or more of the basic countries and you want to create a Quality flow for those records. See Basic Countries for details.
  5. If you want to change the specific country flow to another country, you can send a country to another country or include multiple countries in a certain country. See Routing Country to Another Country for details.
  6. If you want to evaluate the input entity against all possible countries and obtain the country codes, select the Evaluate All Countries check box in the bottom left corner. When this option is checked, the Global Data Router will first evaluate the selected countries for the project, and then evaluate the rest of the countries defined in the Country Rules Table (rtrules2.win/unx) in alphabetical order. If it finds a record that would be routed to one of these countries, it will go to the No Match output with the real country code.
Note: Depending on the number of records and countries, performance may be impacted.

Go to the next procedure to select the last process in the project.
