You add a Business Rules process to the input to a Quality project or the output of the Load process. You run the process to analyze the passing/failing rows for all or a selection of entity business rules contained in the input. After you run the process, drill down on the output entity to see the rules that passed and failed the test.

This is useful when the business rules associated with the input entity have been modified and need to be re-run.

Guidelines

Note the following:

  • You run the process on one or more entity business rules associated with the input entity, including rules associated with the Business Rules Library. Before running a Business Rules process, you must add at least one entity business rule to the input entity.
  • Add Business Rules processes to real entities only; dynamic entities are not supported.
  • Before you can add a Business Rules process to a Load process, you must first run the Load process.
  • You can add an Analysis process or another Load process off of a Business Rules process.
  • You cannot copy a project to the Library if it includes a Business Rules process; remove the process before copying the project to the Library.
