The Postal Matcher uses the output from the Sort Utility process as input to this process.
To specify CA Postal Matcher options
- From the Navigation or Project View, right-click the ca Postal Matcher process and select Edit Process.
- Select the Options tab. The ca Postal Matcher Options window displays.
- Specify How should streets be matched to the postal directory. Options are: Exact match required, Match against likely street candidates, and Match against all streets in city.
- Click the Data encoding drop-down list and select the encoding used for the input data. The default encoding is Latin1. See Encoding for details.
- If you want to split output address into two lines, select Split output address onto two lines. The attribute called ca_gout_filler will be added to the output schema if this option is selected.
- If you want to obtain the abbreviated city name, select Return abbreviated city names. The attributes called ca_gout_abbr13_city_name and ca_gout_abbr18_city_name will be added to the output schema if this option is selected.

By default, the house number information will be updated when the record matches an LVR (Large Volume Receiver) address. If you want to keep the original house number information, select Do not update house number when matching LVR addresses.
Note: LVR (Large Volume Receiver) records are the ones that contain one of the following record types: B = Street record, C = Government street record, D = Lock box record, E = Government lock box record.

If you want to generate a SERP form, select SERP Certification (batch only) and then click the Advanced button to define additional settings for the SERP form.
Note: Canadian SERP certification is not supported for the Trillium Quality for Big Data project.
