The Customer Data Parser identifies business names first by looking at the settings in the Parser input address line types option. If any of the input lines is predefined as Business Name type, that line is identified as business. If the input line is not predefined, then the Parser looks for the business name recognition option in the Parser options window.

To specify business name recognition options

  1. From the Navigation or Project View, right-click the Customer Data Parser process and select Edit Process.
  2. Select the Options menu option.
  3. In the right pane, select one of the following options for the Business name recognition box:
    Option Description

    Full

If any token on a line is assigned one of the BUSINESS attributes, the entire line becomes business.

    None

Business names are not recognized. They are parsed as personal names or as invalid name patterns.

    Partial

If any token on a line is assigned a B-DESCRIPTIVE or B-REDEFINE attribute, the line becomes a business line. Other business attributes are turned off.
