The Transformer Data Reconstruction process is not included by default in Business Data and Empty projects, but you can add it to these project types.

To add a Transformer Data Reconstruction process to a Business Data project

  1. Right-click the process that will follow the Transformer Data Reconstruction process, select Insert New Process, and select Transformer Data Reconstruction.
  2. From the Navigation or Project View, right-click the Transformer Data Reconstruction process and select Edit Process. You can also double-click the process to open it for editing.
  3. Edit the Output Conditionals to define the rules for the attribute scans and table recodes to be performed. You can modify or specify the following settings:

To add a Transformer Data Reconstruction process to an Empty project

  1. Right-click the process that will follow the Transformer Data Reconstruction process, select Insert New Process, and select Transformer Data Reconstruction.
  2. Select the type of data to be transformed: 
    • Select Name and Address to transform name and address data. A country list displays. Select the data's country of origin. Default rules for transforming data for that country are automatically configured and can be edited if desired.
    Note:

    If the project does not include a Customer Data Parser process, when you select the Name and Address data type a message displays advising you that a Customer Data Parser normally precedes a Transformer Data Reconstruction process.

    • Select Other to transform data that is not name and address data. Selecting Other provides no default rules.
  3. From the Navigation or Project View, right-click the Transformer Data Reconstruction process and select Edit Process. You can also double-click the process to open it for editing.
  4. Edit the Output Conditionals to define the rules for the attribute scans and table recodes to be performed. You can modify or specify the following settings:
