When you create a project, a default template is applied. For name Name and Address projects, the standard linking rules are supplied with the template. The rules are used by the Relationship Linker or Reference Matcher process and specified for two levels of matching: Business and Consumer.

After reviewing the output of the Relationship Linker or Reference Matcher process, you can determine if there is a need to customize the rules to meet your business requirements. You can use the Relationship Linker Rules Editor and Data Comparison Calculator to modify the rules.

The Name and Address Linking Rules consist of a set of attributes to compare. Countries with the same level of Postal Matcher support use the same or similar set of matching attributes. Therefore, the lists in this topic are organized according to the Postal Matcher criteria. Click country name to see the list of the rules.

  • Countries supported by the Independent Postal Matcher

  • Countries supported by the Custom Postal Matcher

  • Countries supported by the Global Postal Matcher

  • Countries supported by the Asian Postal Matcher

  • Countries with country templates only (no postal matcher)
