The Global Data Router attempts to identify a record's country of origin using either the country code attribute specified during project creation, or using the combination of attributes specified in the Global Data Router's Options tab. For some records, however, either:
- The country of origin cannot be determined, or
- The country of origin is not one of the countries specified for this project.
These records are referred to as "no-match" records, and they are processed through a separate no-match flow (XX template) in your project.
When you add a Global Data Router process to your project, you are prompted to select the country whose template should be used for these "no-match" records. Most of the selected country's settings files will be used for no-match records, but for certain processes, such as Data Reconstruction, Window Key Generator, and Relationship Linker, using the selected country's template would not be appropriate. For these processes, the settings files in the XX project template are used for the no-match flow.
The XX project template is not a complete template. You cannot build a project using only the XX project template. It does not contain a complete collection of settings files; it contains settings files for processes for which using a specific country template would not be appropriate.
