This section describes backing up and restoring a repository for Trillium v17.0 on Linux and Windows systems. As a general maintenance task, it is recommended that you make periodic copies of your Trillium repositories to a secondary device so that you can use those copies to recover the data in the event that the original repositories are lost or damaged.

Note the following:

  • The procedure is valid for Trillium DQ v17.0 only.

  • Before you perform a repository backup or restore, verify that all users are logged off Trillium DQ and no background tasks are running.

  • A user who performs a repository backup or restore must be the user (Trillium Application Administrator) who installed the Trillium repository server. See the Trillium DQ Installation Guide for details on user requirements.

  • After you run a restore of your repository, as a best practice, activate your Trillium license again.

  • The scripts are installed with the repository server software in the bin directory:

    • Linux: server_path/metabase/bin/

    • Windows: C:\Program Files\Trillium Software\MBSW\version\bin\
