TSS language packs enable you to interact with the Control Center and the Repository Manager in your native language. Menus, options, windows, statistics, log files, and messages have all been localized. The following languages are available:

  • Brazilian Portuguese (pt_BR)
  • Chinese, Mainland (zh_CN)
  • Chinese, Taiwan (zh_TW)
  • French (fr)
  • German (de)
  • Italian (it)
  • Japanese (ja)
  • Korean (ko)
  • Spanish (es)
Note: TSS language packs require separate download and installation. Contact your account representative for details.

To use the Control Center and the Repository Manager in your language, you must configure the locale environment variable (TSSLOCALE). For example, for the Japanese language pack, you must set the TSSLOCALE to ja. If you skip this required configuration, you may see missing fonts and other issues when using the localized user interface.

To configure locale

  1. On your Windows system, select Control Panel > System and Security > System.
  2. Click Advanced system settings. The System Properties window opens.
  3. Click Environment Variables. The Environment Variables window opens.
  4. In the User variables section, click New. The New User Variable window opens.
  5. In the Variable name field, enter TSSLOCALE. In the Variable value field, enter the value for your language pack. For example, fr for French language pack.
  6. Click OK and then OK again to close the open windows.
  7. Clear the cache in Internet browser by deleting your browsing history.
  8. Restart your system. The next time you log on to the Control Center or the Repository Manager, the interface will display in the language you installed.
