Before you run the BDP, configure the process as follows:

Configure the BDP process

To configure the BDP process

  1. Click the Input Settings tab in the BDP process.
  2. In Attribute to be parsed, select Mortgage Description. This is the input attribute that contains the business data to be parsed.
  3. (Optional) Select BDP Options such as including special characters in lookup tables and unknown tokens in the output.
  4. (Optional) Perform optional customization by editing advanced rules, specifying attribute transformation, customizing output attributes, specifying output settings, and specifying encoding values.
  5. Click Finish to save your settings.

After you configure the BDP, run the process and view the output:

Run the BDP process

To run the BDP process

  1. Run the Transformer process first. The output attributes from the Transformer are used as input to the BDP. If necessary, make modifications to Transformer attributes and rules.
  2. Right-click the BDP process and select Run.
  3. If any issues are found, address those that may impact successfully running the process.
  4. Do one of the following:
    • Click Run to run the process immediately (the job will not display as a Background Task).
    • Click Background to run the process in the background or schedule the process to run later. The scheduler notification bar opens. Optionally, change the job name in the scheduler notification bar. Run the process in the background or schedule a job to run. (Profiling processes cannot be run in the background.)
  5. After the process runs, open the BDP output entity and review the results. For more information, see Viewing Business Data Parser Results. If you used the ignore word table, those words are recoded to commas in the output.
