Notifications about Trillium actions and information display as yellow bars under the ribbon and above the Control Center work area. There are five types of notifications:

  • Message
  • Scheduler
  • Progress
  • Error
  • Warning

The following example shows the message, error, and scheduler bars:

Example of three types of Notification bars

Working with Notifications

No more than three bars display at a time. If multiple notifications of one type are generated, the bar for that type rotates through the messages. You can click through to see each notification. When you hover over a bar, this stops the rotation so you can review the message. By default, notifications rotate at three-second intervals (messages and tasks) and one-minute intervals (scheduler). (You can change the interval time in the Environment Options window.)

To see how many messages there are of the same type
  • Hover over the notification bar. A running total displays, for example, if there are three error messages, and you are looking at the first message, the tool tip will read 1 of 3.
To rotate through notifications of the same type
  1. Hover over the right of a notification bar. The Show previous message and Show next message arrows display.

  2. Click the arrows to rotate through the notifications.
  3. To stop the rotation, hover over a bar to review the message and take action.
To close a notification
  1. If more than one message displays for a notification type, click the left or right arrow to scroll through the messages.
  2. When the message you want to close displays, click the X on the right of the bar.
To close all notification bars of the same type
  • Right-click the bar and select Close All.
