The Background Task List View provides important information when you are processing large quantity of data. A review of the tasks will confirm if a job is running, is complete, or if it failed. Follow this procedure to view and work with background tasks.

Guidelines

  • When running functions such as business rule analysis against multiple entities, Entity ID will be displayed as zero (0) and Entity Name will be null.
  • When running function of join on two entities, then both Entity ID and Entity Name will be null.

To view all background tasks

  1. On the Home tab, click the background tasks icon Open Background Tasks icon. A list opens of all background tasks, including the state and progress of each task.

  2. If you have an incomplete job and need to re-run a task, select the task, right-click and select Run Task.
  3. If you want to stop a task, select the task, right-click and select Stop Task.
  4. If you want to schedule a task to run at a later time, select the task, right-click and select Reschedule Task .
  5. If you want to rename a task, select the task, right-click and select Rename Task. Enter the new name and click OK.
