The JP modifier is used with SPELLING to compare two kana fields. If the two fields do not match exactly, the routine will convert small characters (yo-on/soku-on) to larger characters, ignore voice sound marks (dakuten/handakuten), remove all spaces, and convert the kana sound according to the list of KNSOUND and perform matching.
