The following routines can be entered in order to affect name pattern results.

  • NMF01. This routine skips over the titles and checks whether the second and fourth words are equal. If they are, it changes their attributes to SURNAME and returns a positive pattern hit.
  • NMF02. This routine skips over titles and checks if the second and last words are equal. If they are, it changes their attribute to SURNAME and returns a positive pattern hit.
  • NMF03. This routine skips over titles and checks if the second and last words are equal. If they are, it changes their attributes to SURNAME and returns a positive pattern hit.
  • NMF04. The first pair of GVN-NM1 or ALPHA attributes with the same original value is turned into a SURNAME attribute, and all others that match it.
  • NMF05. This routine checks name patterns to see if the token carrying an ALPHA with special characters should be a business word.
  • NMF06. This routine checks to see if the second ALPHA token has a beginning attribute of GVN-NM1.
  • NMF07. This routine converts 0’s and 1’s to tokens ‘O’ and ‘I’ when no other meaning has already been assigned.
