Notifications about messages, scheduling jobs, task progress, errors, and warnings display in yellow bars under the Control Center ribbon. When more than one message of the same type is generated (except for the scheduler), the messages display in rotation. By default, error/warning/information messages and progress bars display in three-second intervals before rotating.
For example, if two error notifications are generated, each would display for three seconds in rotation until action is taken. You can change the default intervals and other settings in the Options window.
To change notification settings
- On the Advanced tab, click Options. The Options window opens.
- In the left pane, click Notifications.
-
Change the interval rotation times for the following notifications, as needed.
- Messages (includes information messages, errors, and warnings). The default is 3 seconds.
- Tasks progress. The default is 3 seconds.
- Scheduler. The interval before you are automatically prompted to schedule a job to run. The default is 1 minute.
- Check Run all scheduled jobs Now as needed. When selected, jobs will run immediately in the background. By default, it is not selected. This change takes effect immediately, and remains in effect until you change it again.
