The Detail Value option allows you to configure the following.

  • Classic HEX value view
  • Use of capital letters
  • Minimum number of digits displayed

To configure Detail Value settings

  1. On the Advanced tab, click Options. The Options window opens.
  2. In the left pane, click Detail Value.
  3. If you want to use the hexadecimal (HEX) representation of the character, select option Use Classic Hex Value View.
  4. Clear the Use Capital Letters option if needed. It is enabled by default.
  5. Change the Minimum Digits Displayed option if needed. The default is 4 digits.
  6. Click OK, then click Apply.

    This change takes effect immediately, and remains in effect until you change it again.
