A project is an object that you use to organize and work with entities, attributes, metadata, and processes according to the business task you are trying to complete. Entities that contain (or link to) your data form the basis of all projects. You start creating projects after you have added one or more entities.
There are four types of projects, each distinguished by the area of Trillium you are working in:

| Baseline Analysis | Used to investigate and profile data stored in a repository entity. |
| Time Series | Used to capture and monitor data trends. |
| Joins | Configuring N-way joins creates Join projects which can contain multiple joins, join entities, and join processes. |
| Quality |
Used to cleanse, validate, and enrich data. There are four types of Quality projects, including Name and Address, Business Data, Real Time SAP, and Empty. You can also copy a complete Quality project, or individual Quality processes, to the Library to reuse in other Quality projects. Note: If you are working with Trillium

Viewing Projects and Project Metadata
You can view all projects and project details (metadata, entities, attributes, processes, and so on) from the Navigation View, Metadata Summary Views, and List Views. You can also display a project in the Project View, which is particularly useful for Quality and Joins projects with multiple processes.
The data returned from the associated processes varies, depending on the type of project you are working with.
