Wherever you find join metadata shown in a List View or Summary Data View, you can drill down to see join analysis results for:

  • Non-matching values or rows on the left and right side of the join
  • Common values and rows (matching)
  • Matching values and rows on the left and right side of the join

Display join metadata from the Navigation View

To display join metadata from the Navigation View

  1. In the Navigation View, click the Discover bar, then click the Analysis tab.
  2. Expand Joins.
  3. Right-click Join Analysis Results and select Drill down to All Joins or Drill down to Discovered Joins.

    The Joins or Join Jobs List View opens, displaying metadata for each join.

  4. To view metadata for a single join, expand Join Analysis Results, and double-click a join.

    The Joins List View opens, displaying join metadata.

Display join metadata from the Summary Data View

To display join metadata from the Summary Data View

  1. In the Navigation View, click the entity whose joins you want to view.

    The Summary Data View for the selected entity opens.

  2. Click the Relationship Summary tab. Under Joins, note the number of Permanent and Discovered joins.
  3. Click Permanent or Discovered.

    The Joins per Entity List View opens, displaying join metadata.

Display basic metadata about a join job

To display basic metadata about a join job

  1. In the Navigation View, click the Discover bar, then click the Analysis tab.
  2. Expand Joins and then expand Join Analysis Results.
  3. Click a join.

    The Joins Summary Data View for the selected join opens, displaying information, including the join reference number, name of user who created the join, which entities are used in the join, and how many joins were discovered.
