Deleting a library rule and all associations with real entities and attributes permanently removes the rule. When you delete library rules you are prompted to disassociate the rule from associated entities or attributes.
Guidelines: Note the following when
deleting library rules:
- Disassociating a rule leaves the rule in the real entity or attribute, and removes any connection to the Library.
- If you do not disassociate from any entities or attributes, the rule is deleted completely from the repository. But, for example, if the rule is associated to five entities/attributes and you disassociate it from only one entity/attribute, all instances of that rule will be deleted except for the one in the entity/attribute that was disassociated.
- When you disassociate at least one library rule from a real attribute or entity, all rules in the library attribute or entity are disassociated.
- You must have permissions to view entities with which the rules are associated, otherwise you cannot delete the rule. You must also have Delete privileges for the rule you want to delete.
