Business rules can be enabled or disabled on an attribute-by-attribute basis or by highlighting multiple rows in a business rule List View.

Note the following guidelines:

  • When a rule is not enabled (disabled), it remains in the entity but cannot be re-analyzed.
  • You do not enable or disable a derived business rule using this procedure. For information, see Editing Derived Rules.
  • A disabled ABR in the Standard library attribute will not be run automatically against loaded attributes.
  • You can drill down from a disabled rule to view passing and failing rows and values.
  • To enable or disable a rule, you must have Edit permissions privileges.

To enable or disable a business rule

  1. Open a List View of the business rules with which you want to work. (See How to View Business Rules.)
  2. In the Enabled column note the rule status as either Yes (enabled) or No (not enabled).
  3. Highlight one or more rows.
  4. Right-click the row(s), select Manage rules, then select one of the following:
    • Enable selected rules
    • Disable selected rules
Note: When you highlight multiple rows that include both enabled and disabled rules, both options are active.

The List View Enabled column updates (Yes or No) for the highlighted row(s). If you enable a rule, the rule's analysis results display.
