The Transformer lets you convert the original hexadecimal value to another hexadecimal value within an input attribute. This transformation occurs on an "every occurrence basis" for the specified attribute unless there is a condition.
To convert the hex value

From the Navigation or Project View, right-click the Transformer process and select Edit Process. You can also double-click the process to open it for editing.

Select the Input Conditionals tab.

If you have multiple inputs, Select Input from the input entity list.

Right-click within the Transformation Rules pane (right-hand side) and select Add > New >
Character Translation. The Character Translation window opens.

Enter a brief Description for this character translation. The description will be inserted in the statistics file.

Select attribute from the list. This is the attribute to which the hex translation is applied.

Specify a value of Translate character (in hex). This is the original hex value which will be translated to another hex value. The actual character is displayed in Character.

Specify a value of to character (in hex). This is the hex value to which the original value is translated. The actual character is displayed in Character.
Note: If you are translating multi-byte characters such as Asian characters, specify
a value of Unicode hexadecimal code point.

Click Finish.
