The Customer Data Parser (CDP) process identifies and standardizes name and address data elements. It is run after the Transformer process. You can specify Parser inputs during project creation or after project creation.
Guidelines
Note the following guidelines and suggestions when configuring Parser inputs:
- Specify a maximum of ten (10) name and address lines or business data lines to be used as Parser inputs.
- The CDP allows a maximum of 100 characters for each line. If the data length is greater than 100, then it will be cut off at 100.
- In a multi-country name and address project with multiple Parsers, you can do the
following:
- Specify the Parser inputs during project creation and have these settings be propagated to each country-specific, post-Router Transformer.
- Specify different Parser inputs for each country by editing the Transformer process that precedes it.
Note: The Business Data Parser (BDP) identifies and standardizes free-form, non-name and
address data elements, like product brands and sizes. You do not need to configure
Parser inputs for the BDP. The input attribute for the BDP process is specified in the
Input Settings window of the BDP process.
