The Options menu provides additional settings with which you can customize the Resolve process. The settings in the Options menu are described in the following table.
Setting | Description |
---|---|
Attribute containing starting key of link | Attribute name that contains the starting key of the link. This is usually the left column of the link file from the Relationship Linker. |
Attribute containing ending key of link | Attribute name that contains the ending key of the link. This is usually the right column of the link file from the Relationship Linker. |
Number of records to process at once |
Numeric value that specifies the maximum number of records to process. Note: The default value for this setting is 100,000. If you are trying to
resolve a large number of records, setting this value to 500,000 may improve
performance.
|
Maximum memory to use while processing | Maximum memory to use in a set. When the program reaches the memory limit, it writes output to the file in a resolved form. Buffers are cleared and processing continues. |
Initial number of records in memory | Numeric value that specifies the number of records to allocate for the memory buffer at startup. |
Additional number of records in memory | Numeric value that specifies the number of extra records to allow if the original buffer overflows. |
Display this many records resolved to same key. | Numeric value that specifies how many of the records resolved to the same key that you want to display. |
Links to track |
Comma-separated list of numbers that identify the links you want to track. The numbers must be the same length as the "from" and "to" attributes in the ddx. Note: Do not use this setting
unless requested to do so by Trillium Software's Technical Support or
Professional Services department. It can create an extremely large debug
file.

|
Maximum number of change objects stored in memory | Maximum number of change objects to keep in memory before writing to a temporary file. The default value is 100,000. When Resolve traverses the "from" and "to" links, it creates a change object every time it finds one that can be changed to a lower value. When Resolve has gone as far as it can from the starting point, it resolves all the change objects and then moves on to another link. |
Adjust Sort Order |
Type of justification to be performed on the link keys prior to the sorting.
