To use a library project, you copy it into a Quality process workflow or an empty Quality project from either the Library or the Quality project, depending on the context in which you are working.

Note: When you copy a library project into a Quality project, the library project inherits the target project's data processing setting.

Copy from the Library

To copy from the Library

  1. In the Navigation or Icon View, right-click a library project and select Use. The Copy to Quality Project window opens.
  2. Select the target project into which you want to copy the library project. The list of processes for the selected project displays.
  3. Click OK to copy to the Quality project. (If you are copying into a project of another type, the Different Project Types window opens. Click Yes to continue or No to stop the process.) The scheduler bar opens.
  4. (Optional) Change the job name.
  5. Do one of the following:
    • To schedule the job to run immediately, click Now. The message closes and the job begins running in the background.
    • Click Later. The Set Date & Time scheduler window opens. To immediately run the job in the background, click Run Now. To schedule a time, select a starting date on the calendar and select a time you want the job to run on the selected date. Click Submit to save the scheduled time.
    • Click Cancel to cancel the task.

When the job finishes, note the following:

    • The copied entity and process names display in the Navigation View under the target project.
    • In the Quality Process Flow, the library processes are added to the right of the current project as a disconnected workflow. (You may need to scroll down or to the right to see the library project.).
    • Real entities display as yellow icons with a red line; dynamic and imported entities display as white icons with a grey line.
  6. Complete the Add New Input procedure.
