From the Project Library you can export and import library projects. Library projects are exported to local or server systems to be imported into other repositories. Library projects are exported as compressed XML files that are automatically uncompressed when you import them back into a Project Library.
- Only library projects created and exported from a Project Library can be imported into the Library.
- You can import files from your local system, remote systems including mapped drives, and UNC paths.
- Exported project files are compressed, named
projectN.prl
, and saved in a directory namedprojectN
, where N is the reference number of your project. - The compressed file extension
.prl
is unique to exported library projects from the Control Center. - Each time you export a library project, any previously exported projects in the target directory are overwritten. You can rename an exported file to save multiple versions of the same file.
- You must have read access to any files you plan to import.
