You use Quality projects to create, test, and tune a process that cleanses and standardizes your data. The most common application of Quality projects is to improve name and address data for mailings, but you can configure Quality to perform cleansing on other types of data. For example, you can use a Quality project to recode an attribute so that all occurrences of it have the same data pattern; or you can use a Quality project to compare an address to a country-specific Global Address Verification (GAV) table and correct address information based on the comparison.

Note: The Control Center is primarily used to create a process flow for later use in a
production environment. It is strongly recommended that the Control Center be used during
development as a project planning or testing tool, and not as a production tool.
