By default, the output entities from the Quality processes are like dynamic entities and have not been fully analyzed. However, you can use the Analyze function to select one or more attributes to be fully analyzed.
To analyze an output entity
- From the Navigation or Project View, right-click the output entity you want to analyze and select Analyze. The Attribute Selection window opens. Certain attributes are pre-selected. These are the same attributes that display in the default customized view for each process; they are the attributes generally considered to be the most useful.

Select attributes to be analyzed by doing one of the following in the Input Attributes list:
- Select an attribute and click > .
- Select multiple attributes using the
Shift
orCtrl
key and click > . - Select all attributes by clicking >>.
To clear the Analyzed Attributes list, click < or <<.
- Click OK. The scheduler notification bar opens.
- (Optional) Change the job name.

Do one of the following:
- To schedule the job to run immediately, click Now. The message closes and the job begins running in the background.
- Click Later. The Set Date & Time scheduler window opens. To immediately run the job in the background, click Run Now. To schedule a time, select a starting date on the calendar and select a time you want the job to run on the selected date. Click Submit to save the scheduled time.
- Click Cancel to cancel the task.
Note: All scheduled jobs are run in the background. Note the progress in the Background Tasks List View.After an attribute is analyzed, you can view all of the analysis, including Distinct Values, Masks, Min, Max etc.
