Inherited attributes are output attributes that are copied from the previous process or input entity. The Inherited From column in the Schema Editor shows the process or entity name from which the attribute is copied. You can edit, copy, ignore, and hide the inherited attributes.

To ignore an inherited attribute
  1. In the Schema Editor, right-click an inherited attribute and select Ignore. The attribute is removed from the output schema and shown with an X mark in the Schema Editor.
  2. (Optional) To put the inherited attribute back in the output schema, right-click the attribute and remove the check mark of Ignore.
  3. From the Navigation or Project View, right-click the process and select Apply Schema Changes.
  4. When the message box appears, click OK

To hide the inherited attributes

  1. In the Schema Editor, right-click anywhere and select Hide Inherited.

All inherited attributes become hidden in the Schema Editor.

  2. (Optional) To restore the inherited attributes in the output schema, right-click the attribute and remove the check mark of Hide Inherited.
